Mom bought some chambord, vermouth (dry and sweet), and whiskey, and I just made my first attempt at a Manhattan, so bear with this entry. Not that I have anything important to say.

Ooh, I just discovered that there are not one but two, TWO covers of Oingo Boingo's "We Close Our Eyes," floating around out there. The first is by a band called Allister. Anyone give a crap about them? They seem popular-ish. The other cover is from the BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER movie soundtrack by Susanna Hoffs. Both are decent, but the Allister is better.

I think I need to start making several Oingo Boingo mixes just to hand out to friends. And thus I can spread the wonder and joy of this band and the Danny Elfman-y goodness.

Now I can finally begin the process of growing back my muttonchops and beard. Thank god, I feel so pudgy and naked without 'em. Which reminds me, after I posted the pics of me 'n Bloo a few weeks back, [livejournal.com profile] eliyes pointed me to this picture from threadless.com:

My god. It looks like the unholy lovechild of me and Jayne from FIREFLY/SERENITY.

I seriously wondered if you'd taken up t-shirt modelling and not mentioned when I first saw it.

I was actually going to go with the unholy lovechild of you and kevin federline, but yours might actually work better - I don't watch the show so I don't really know.
