Par-tee down?

thehefnerHeck, I just realized that I'll be missing Turkeymas this year for the first time in... well... maybe ever!
Yeah, I'll be up in Chicago with Bloo, celebrating... well, a number of things. Christmahanukwanzaafestivus, for one. The completion of her accursed Autocad classes, for another. And, of course, our one-year-anniversary.
Now, she sort of takes issue with me making December 15th our one-year-anniversary, but the thing is, I'm frankly not sure when the hell else it might be. I mean, on December 15th, she "hotlisted" me on The Onion Personals. Shortly thereafter, we started IMing, but it wasn't really romantic or anything. How could it have been? She lived in frickin' Pittsburgh, for god's sake. Nothing was going to happen, right?
Then a few months pass, we rarely IM each other, then we start picking it up again, and around my birthday, I drive all the way up to see her, but I'm sick as a dog so there's pretty much no flirting or anything, just a good-bye hug and that's it. And then later we actually do start flirting over IM and a couple months later we finally see one another again to spend more quality time together... but honestly, at what point was that the "start"? This is a rather unconventional relationship anyway. We've still only seen each other in person for about two weeks altogether.
So the heck with it. The day of the hotlisting shall be the anniversary, so say's I. I bought her the complete "Legend of Zelda" animated series on DVD. Yes, that's right, the ones they showed with "The Super Mario Brothers Super Show!" Mondays through Thursdays they showed Mario cartoons, but Fridays, we got "Zelda." It's pure goofy fun, especially with the lascivious, horny Peter-Venkman-esque Link to his sitcom-like catchphrase, "Well excuuuuuuuse me, Princess!"
There will be more Rudes parties. For that matter, I should host one sometime. Mom loves hosting company, and we haven't had you guys over since Oedipus (good times... oh wait, not really). I wonder what party I could host? New Year's? Pre-New Year's Party Party? Hey, we still haven't done the CLOSER cast party!
