Check this trailer out:

I saw it in London. It's a Titus-esque film of Thomas Middleton's relatively obscure 17th Century play "Revengers Tragedy." Directed by Alex Cox ("Repo Man," "Sid and Nancy"), who sets it in 2021 Liverpool, it stars Christopher Eccelstone (the head soldier boy from "28 Days Later" and I think he was in "Trainspotting" also), Eddie Izzard, and as the evil Duke, Derek Jacobi. In purple lipstick. Awwww, yeah.
There are no plans as yet to release it in the US, but I can get the UK DVD from amazon.co.uk. From what I understand, it's Region 0, which I think means it will work on this side of the pond. And while I'm getting it, I should get Stephen Fry's Harry Potter recordings (yeah yeah, Jim Dale and all, piffle on that, I wanna hear JK's authentic versions).
If I get it, we're havin' us a movie night. My only complaint is that they insert modern dialogue in midst of the actual Middleton. Aw well, it's still fucked-up pre-Shakesperian goodness.
