I've always been rather impressed by your boundless capacity for rage at people who have no joy. It's adorable. :)

charisma18, regarding my last post.
I'm so used to being teased by so many people, I can only say that I think I was just given an awesome and observant compliment. I've never thought of myself that way, but it makes perfect sense. Pay close attention, future John Hefner biographers!
My first-ever Long Island Iced Tea is a success. I imagine it's helped that I used Bombay Sapphire and my expensive (and running low!) Jose Cuervo Tradicional tequila; as with martinis, I suspect this is the kind of drink where you really should break out the fancy stuff. Man, this really does seem like the middle class martini. I can't imagine Smokey, Dino, or Ol' Blue Eyes drinking this, could you? It's always seemed more like the drink of choice for Girls Gone Wild and dejected housewives. But that could just be me remembering that SIMPSONS episode...
I made this drink for three reasons: 1.) I didn't want to try it out at my party and be knocked out too quickly, 2.) tomorrow (or later today, rather) I may have around $1,000 worth of car repairs to my struts and/or suspension, (The god damn ice and snow recently did a real number on my car, I suspect) and 3.) while my car is being repaired, I'll be spending allllll day with my father, who lives right near the Exxon where they'll be working on it. Whoop-ee.
But right now, I can't really feel my face. And that's not a bad thing at this particular moment in time. Although as my fingers get more and more numb, I'm finding difficulty typing out this entry. I honestly tried to just make a small one, but even that one put me on my lush ass. Perhaps I'm in over my head here.
I wonder how a Long Island Iced Tea would taste with Captain Morgan and/or pineapple juice. Not to mention if I Brita-filtered the vodka. Hmm. Any other suggestions?
Whoop, to quote Gary Larson, there goes my head. Time for bed, methinks.
Note to self: need more Cap'n Morgan and Jose Cuervo Tradicional...
