I haven't seen FF, but I am a staunch, staunch defender (an, I don't know, "advocate" of some kind) for the DD Director's Cut. Have you seen it? Boy oh boy, what am improvement. Still not a brilliant movie by any terms, but honestly, I put it up there at *least* with the first X-MEN and SPIDER-MAN movies. Which is to say, mostly pretty damn good, riddled with flaws, and a lot of potential to improve come sequel-time.
And SM3 wasn't bad, no. If only it were that simple. Sigh.
