Y'know, more and more, I've really had to wonder what people mean when they call a movie "dated." Clearly, it's a derogatory term, as if clear indicators of the time of a film's production somehow lessens said film. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I really didn't understand why that was a bad thing?

Thankfully for me, this article expresses my thoughts on the matter better than I could.

IRON MAN TRAILER.

This is one of the only times you will ever, ever, EVER hear me refer to something as "shiny." Honestly, at this point, if this film is anything less than, like, one of the top five greatest superhero movies ever made, I am going to be seriously disappointed.

Oh, and from lairdofdarkness, this is bloody excellent, this is. My only complaint is that, had it used the entire song, this video could have been the new "Andy Kaufman Mighty Mouse."

Goddamn, that is the best use of that song since the first three minutes of the MIAMI VICE pilot.

Well, directors have deliberately made audio choices for fear of dating... Lindsay Anderson avoided using pop rock going for the Missa Luba instead for reason to make it timeless... the essay is generally true though.

Have you had troubles with the Iron Man trailer, cause everytime I've gone to it today, I get a bunch of error boxes that won't load it.
