This one's for the horror geeks.

Be sure to put on your Silver Shamrock Halloween masks, kids!

...

Hey, it's still better than the one with Busta Rhymes.

Bonus: I took my LJ icon and decided to whip up a little somethin'-somethin'. Because I love the joke so. Not for the queasy or sensitive. Don't say I didn't warn you, as I know some of you are more sensitive than others.

Man, I really need that framed on my wall.

Dude's been recapping a lot of great horror movies lately. That's why I friended him.

Recapping?

And for my part, I don't know if I'd ever call HALLOWEEN III a "great" horror film, but it has its charms. I'm not sure if I'd objectively consider DAY OF THE DEAD "great" either, but it's my favorite Romeo film, for all its flaws.

Oh shut up. You know what I mean.

I just super excited when I see someone else who's into horror movies as much as I am. As I'm typing this I'm staring at the IT dude in our computer lab who's dress as one Harvey Dent.

I wasn't being a smart-ass, I was genuinely asking! hehe

(Well-adjusted) horror movie fans are a rare and great find. And is he really? As in, with a split-suit? Any makeup?

(I like how you refer to him as Harvey Dent, not Two-Face)

Half a face-full of makeup, and a split suit that it looks like he made himself. You could see the stitching on it.

You and [livejournal.com profile] capnredbeard were separated at birth...by about a decade, sure, but this thing with the zed-word?
Yeah.
You two are family.

Drag him to come see THE HEFNER MONOLOGUES some day.

On second thought, no, maybe I shouldn't meet him if he's that eerily similar to me. I wouldn't want to risk a TIMECOP time paradox situation here.

Okay, YOU were not one of the people I'd expect to get it. Yay! :)

Oh Tom Atkins, where are you when we need you?

That's quite possibly the worst 2-3 minutes of music anywhere.

You forgot to mention that it's from Halloween 3.

I forgot to mention no such thing. It'd ruin the joke (as it's only funny to the handful of people who've already seen the film).

Doubt me not!

Unless... you were saying that to [livejournal.com profile] lialife and not me. In which case, see icon.

I was mentioning it to [livejournal.com profile] lialife. If you're going to claim guessing the movie's title, you should at least get it right by mentioning all of it.

I love the Rhodes joke... but for sheer wonderful gross-out I love the screaming guy as his head is torn from his body and the scream pitches up so disturbingly.

Ah, Halloween III... the departure from the other movies.

God, that really was a brilliant effect. The peeled-back eyelid, the shovel-in-mouth-half-decapitation, the spilling guts from the rising zombie... that film had some of the best gore effects I'd ever seen, period. In my opinion, it's beaten only by THE THING. Not sure what else is up there.

Yes. With man-god Tom Atkins.
