LASAGNA CAT.

Live-action reenactments of Garfield strips, along with added "tributes" to the man, the myth, the legend, Jim Davis.

Utter, utter brilliance.

Some starting highlights from what I've seen include this, this, and on the slightly more long-winded endurance side, this.

Go. Watch. Explore. Try to keep your soul intact.

(I'm kind of tempted to say, "Wow, this is what Tim and Eric would be if they were actually funny. Instead of raping comedy on a weekly basis. You know, like, raping it up the ass.")

Oh, and in THE DARK KNIGHT news, Christopher Nolan finally (albeit briefly) mentioned Harvey's role. "Harvey Dent is a tragic figure," Nolan says, "and his story is the backbone of this film." Several people are taking this to mean that while everyone will be looking at Ledger's amazing performance as the Joker, the movie will really be about Harvey*.

I'm just glad the comic store was empty, so no one had to hear the sound I made upon hearing that news.

I cannot frickin' wait till frickin' July, man.

*Well, and Batman, of course. Much as I love the Bat-villains, I hope they take the cue from the SPIDER-MAN movies and remember that, at the end of the day, it's the hero's story, not the villains. And while Harvey is both, and very much the dark mirror to Bruce Wayne, it's still Bruce's story.

Amen!

(I know it seems like I've disappeared, but I haven't. Not really. Work's just been kicking my butt and depressing me. But we can talk copyright stuff soon if you'd like.)

Oh my stars and garters...

The "Cheeseburger in Paradise" Lasagna Cat is just ... weird.

I think it's meant to be in the style of Animutation, like that Flash version of YATTA! Thus the random Colin Mochrie.

I love how the reviews of the Garfield movies in the last video are obviously struggling just to come up with SOMETHING to say about having to watch them.
I read an interview with Jim Davis once in an old, old Garfield book; he said something along the lines of 'I'm not trying to make Garfield political or relevant, I just make it funny.'
Interpret and discuss.

I just made a wee noise of glee upon reading the Harvey Dent news. It sounded like "!".

I've just checked out the release dates. The UK gets it a week later than you guys in the US.

I can wait a week longer. It's not like I'm currently checking out precisely how much it costs to fly from here to the East Coast on the 18th July, no sir, not at all...

That's pretty much exactly the noise I made. Except probably higher-pitched than you.

Ha! Well, be warned, if I'm not scheduled to perform at DC Fringe, I'm going to fly to Chicago to see it with Bloo. And if I am, she'll fly to DC to see it with me.

We've got emotional investment in this like whoa. The only way we're staving off the itchiness is by throwing ourselves into revising my Harvey novel. It gives us a small sense of power in this powerless situation.

I can squeal so high pitched it nearly goes into that region only dogs can hear. Though upon consideration, you're probably more excited about this than I am, so your shriek of (manly) joy probably shattered glass.

And I just watched those Garfield videos. Comedy gold, though the wig scares me.

Also, just wondering how much money they spent on green screen, costumes, editing programmes & digital camera is making my head ache slightly.

I find this post funnier just cuz I actually know Tim of Tim and Eric. He's the brother of a very dear friend of mine. I remember years ago when he was doing internet videos and hoping to break out one day. :-)

Don't worry, not gonna give you any grief. Every one is entitled to their opinion and in terms of comedy i think every has such different taste. Also, good points about the spidey gilms. One of the reasons I can't really get into those flicks.

Wow, it's like everybody cool knows Tim and Eric. That only makes it harder.

I... I keep watching it, I don't know why, I keep hoping... but it hurts, dude! It hurrrrts! I-I-I'm like, "No, this is the next step, it's funny because of how antiNO I CAN'T DO IT ARGH!!!"

Either way, Bloo gets first dibs.

But you bet your ass, we totally will. We still gotta do Sweeney sometime as well.

Word up. Again, it may have to be an overnight experience if we are rocking the margaritas.

And how could we not rock them?
