Orlando Update
May. 13th, 2008 12:08 pmWe arrived safely in Orlando, blissfully unaware that we were driving seriously close to tornadoes, hailstorms, and the huge-ass brush fire that causes Mom to go, "What's that smell? Kinda like burning. Oh well."
Tomorrow begins the Great Schmoozing, whereupon fliers shall be deposited, cards handed out, and yea, asses shall fill the seats come performance time at the Orlando Fringe Festival.
I'm now chilling out with my limited internet access, trying to catch up on three days' worth of LJ, which is a four-hour process, as you might understand. I'll hopefully be able to check back in daily, but otherwise, we're cut off. Indeed, this truly is a working vacation.
The script for HOW HEFNERIAN is pulling together, and not to jinx it, but I'm feeling fifteen million times better. Not that I ever went away, I suppose, but I still feel BACK, baby! Now if we can keep up the momentum of my new opening, we'll be golden!

Date: 2008-05-14 05:04 pm (UTC)I was actually thinking of trying L.A. this Fall, but I'm stressed and overwhelmed as it is. Don't worry, we're putting it on the docket for spring next year. Maybe San Fran Fringe as well, if all works out well. :)

Date: 2008-05-14 05:03 pm (UTC)I don't know why I'm addicted to "The Con" right now, but I must have listened to this damn album about twenty times by now. This is hardly my style of music, not the least of which being that it's rather "poppy," but it gets under my skin and I can't bloody stop. I'm just gonna keep listening to this until I've beaten it into the ground and can't ever listen to it again. Just like I did with Rufus Wainwright's "Poses."
