Word is that someone leaked a screenshot of Two-Face from, like, an advanced screener copy of THE DARK KNIGHT. Even if this is not true, or even if it's a fake, I must once again reaffirm my stance:

DO NOT SHOW IT TO ME.

IF I SEE THAT PICTURE, THEN THE HEARTY, RICH, TASTY STEW THAT IS MY JULY WILL HAVE BEEN SHAT IN.

Ten days. Ten endless days ahead.



In other news, a pal of mine from last year's CapFringe (an excellent solo performer and also a sexy dork on whom I might possibly be crushing a little) wrote to inform me that she just attended Diablo Cody's 30th birthday party at the Playboy Mansion.

Between my own mixed feelings of Ms. Cody and JUNO in general, coupled with the fact that I know this girl and that it's at the family home that I shall never, ever, ever see again*... this is beyond Hefnerian. There's not even a word for what this is yet.

Since I'm one tidbit away from doing my best impression of the dude from SCANNERS (like, say, while she was there she gave a lapdance to Wilford Brimley), I think the working term to describe this is... "ASPLODE!IAN."

I am weak.I looked at the leaked Two-Face picture.I was just like "screw this,I'm too excited to wait.Bring on the spoilers!" The other leaked photo was more of nurse Joker.

Call me ignorant, but why won't you ever go to the mansion again? If that's a touchy subject, I apologize.

Also, the Mrs. and I are planning to see your show this weekend, most likely on Saturday. I haven't bought tickets yet, but I will soon. It's an odd feeling paying for theater... after working for the Shakespeare Theater for so long and my wife working for Arena Stage now, I don't think I've ever paid for theater except on Broadway and that was just financial assrape. This time, I don't mind so much.

Not touchy at all. I went with Dad when I was seven, and after that, the details are murky... I think Hugh only had us over there rather grudgingly at the insistence of his mother, our Aunt Grace. Dad and Grace were in correspondence for many years, and one day she said she'd try to set up a meeting.

I don't think Hugh was very fond of Dad to begin with; a sailboat enthusiast, Dad once sent in a letter to PLAYBOY complaining that a cartoon incorrectly depicted some sailing technique or some shit. When Dad brought it up to Hugh, Hugh dryly said, "I remember," and let the matter drop.

Ultimately, when Dad expressed interest in returning, Hugh (as I understand it; I'll never get Hugh's side of the story) indignantly said that he already has us over recently, that Hugh and his family are very private people (yeah, wha??), and so on. Details are vague, but ultimately, we never got a Christmas card since, and he's never responded to any of my letters. Not even the brief one I sent notifying him about Dad's death.

As for paying for shows, I know, I'm actually in the same boat! Orlando Fringe was set up that artists could see shows for free, most times! I got kinda spoiled. I don't think there's anything in order for that here, but hey, I don't mind at all supporting my friends.

It'll be great to see you and the Mrs! It means a lot to me, especially as I anticipate the first weekend being sparse.

Next week sometime! Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are open to me. That said, I'm gonna need to see if there's a show or two that I desperately need to see, either for myself and/or to support a friend and/or to pimp my show. What times are you free on those days?
