I had previously heard a couple artists raving about Winnipeg, saying it's a total money-maker, that the whole town clears out to come see the shoes, stuff like that. Then I read the Winnipeg review at this blog (which also has a good heads-up of what to expect at Montreal):
Which warns that it too is huge, with a program the size of a Dickens book, and if you're a newbie you'll get lost in the sea of familiar faces and "celebrities." So I'm gonna prepare for the worst, and hopefully do well. Winnipeg's gonna be my wild card this first year.
