Okay, goddammit, who keeps messing with my icons? Because I dunno about you guys, but as of this writing, this blue guy is serious NOT my default pic. Also, my IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS "Blue" icon has been replaced with a Naruto icon. What the crap?!

All right, LiveJournal, you wanna play it like this? Fine. I'm going to New York Comic-Con. See how you feel going a *whole* almost two days without me, LJ. Assuming I don't get stampeded to death by fangirls or killed in an unfortunate "Quesada shanking" incident, I'd better have all my icons together when I come back!

Hell, I needed a new default user pic anyway. But what the hell?

my happy bouncy SMOCK TOP icon was replaced by a dark silohette in a dark back ground and looking quite unbouncy.

I have temporarily replaced it with a pink bunny holding a sign. It's as close as i can get.

Yeah, I've heard about this hitting other people, but no one I actually cared about! (dramatic beat) Until *now*.

It's been happening to me for a few months now, but usually my icons come back after a few days. But this annoyance is starting to get annoying.

Don't delete and replace. Open a help request with Livejournal. They can usually fix it.

I'ts been happening to me for about two weeks. I'll notice that my default icon has been replaced, but then either that night or the next day it will be back to normal. Repeat sporadically. It's happened to thirdbase too. And a friend of mine has been noticing it with her and others for a while now.

I've currently set myself to no default icon. My south park avatar still gets periodically replaced, but it doesn't end up showing much.

That happens to me sometimes. I'll get weird icons in place of mine so I just delete them and re-upload the right ones.

It's an LJ cache issue

It usually fixes itself after a couple of days... when their server cache refreshes... or when enough people complain about mixed userpics.
