Rhetorical question I'm sometimes asked by people who talk to me a bit after seeing my show:

"Oh god, you're actually like this in real life?"

...

If I'm learning anything as an actor, it's trying to fake being a normal person on stage. Within reason, of course. We don't want to spring the Heffie on the poor norms all at once.

So if your show is somewhat dull when I see it, I shouldn't worry, because you're more interesting in real life?

;)

Ha, well, I suppose that be the preferable of the two options, but no, I mean to say, I'm an intense arms-flailing neurotic geek on stage and off, but many people seem to think that's an act, an on-stage persona.

!

*checks Newsarama, feels dirty for doing so*

Well how about that! And with Marvel now, no less! Wow! The things I miss not being at comic con nor checking the Internet frequently while Fringing...

Eh, I sort of feel foolish for dropping the very large amount of money I did to pick up those books a few years back.

Hope the fringe is treating you well.

You and many others. Don't feel bad, for all we knew, the rights could have been in limbo for another ten years at least!

It's treating me well enough, all things considered. By which I mean, I just blew two whole performances' income on back issues of Hawkword and The Untold Legend Of Batman.

Well, the thing is, marvel has still yet to tell anyone if they are actually able to publish the old issues. They say they are talking to those involved. I'm sure Neil and Buckingham will be more than happy to complete silver age and dark age, but we all know how Moore feels about marvel, and we also know that Joe Quesada has sort of a habit of fucking up getting marvel back in Moore's good graces, and by habit, I mean he forget to change the credits in the Captain Britain Trade when they reprinted it. So maybe I made the wise investment anyway. Plus, I'm just happy to have gotten to read them and be one of those who can say "I OWN MIRACLEMAN! WHOOOOPPPEEEEEEE!" as I dance about in that way that I do.

I can't say I'm at all suprised to hear that that is how the Fringe is treating you, or to hear where your proceeds are going. When The Scholeri Brothers had our first paying gig back in January, the proceeds went towards 2 very large beers, and a molten chocolate cake at chilis. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I haven't seen The Heffologues (as I like to call them) since the show's original incarnation. I'd be intrigued to see how it has grown and changed in the intervening years, or to even see "How Hefnerian" at all. Any plans to tape this beast of yours at any point in the future, Or to bring the Show to Philly Fringe (where I think you could be loved. No, seriously, they eat odd little personal shows in Philly for breakfast and ask for seconds. Especially if you can find a way to do it with puppets. You know you want to have a freaky Hefner puppet around)?

As long as you leave the normal onstage and revert to insanity in your private moments, I think you'll be fine.
