thehefnerWell, I just loved Winnipeg so much that I simply had to do something stupid and wreck the fuck out of my lower back, thereby forcing me to stay another day. Hopefully no more than that. Hopefully extra strength tylenol and bengay will get me at least as far as southern Minnesota, where--if need be--I can hopefully stay with relatives and see a doctor actually covered by my crappy Yankee insurance.
I wish I at least had Internet where I'm staying, which would help pass the time as I lie down with a sack of frozen green beans on my back. At least I managed to catch up on Netflix rentals I brought with me, just in case. Had a great Kirk Douglas double-feature with ACE IN THE HOLE and PATHS OF GLORY, but was seriously let down by TIMECRIMES. Wow, did that ever not live up to the hype.
Point is, I won't be around Internet much over the next few days. I just want to get better for the ass-long drive home, especially for the Rudes' anniversary party! My health comes first, yea, but I will be very, very sad to be missing that.
Shit, I just want to be home. I want to be home, man.
