Politics make my teeth ache. Especially blowhard polticians who incite blowhard citizens to blow even harder. My politics are a mixed bag leaning mainly to the left but not really knowledgeable enough in the issues to officially be declared either way. And while I'm certainly no Bush fan (there is increasingly little gray area in his favor) I think I'm gonna sit Dean's visit out.

'Course, it would be interesting to see what the humbled former front-runner would have to say. Virtually everyone I know here seems to be going to see him. Ah well. I need to get back to work on my serial killer play anyway.

Oooo and serial killer play? Will it have anything to do with that murderer story I read of yours? With the smoking woman by that hole in the ground and the man who took that other guy's identity? Ak I cant remember the name but that was an awsome short story..

Yeah! It's a whole story about the character I've been wanting to do for a long time, but I was never sure about what format it'd be best in. I decided to give the story and the expanded character a test drive for my Playwrighting I class, getting feedback and whatnot.

The woman doesn't return, but there is another one for the story. Not dissimilar, but much, much more complex. I'm starting to fear it may be too much for a play, and I may have to novel and/or comic it. But for that latter part, I'll need an artist. Hell, I want to do a comic, if only so, at the very least, I can get you to contribute a pin-up! I love seeing artists' take on my characters. I totally squeed when I saw the ones you did before.

Thank you for the comments, though! I'm still really proud of that story, and I hope with the novel and this play/novel/comic/whatever it's gonna be, I can top it!

ah yeah, i'd do you a pin up mos' def'! I only wish I were a better artist for that sort of thing, ahh and if I had some time it'd be killer to illustrate your stuff..
ah hey, you know who might rock for your kind of writing..I have a friend named Frans who's a total mainstreamer! He'd be perfect for that kind of genre.. i've been trying to get him drawing and he's been asking me to write him scripts, (he rejects them though, i'm trapped in a sorta emo, oni press phase with my comic-writing.. like blue monday + chips'-forced innocence, mixed with a shitty get-backers-esque manga about goddamn bagels. I have to get past book 1 arghhh. selfhate.) anyway he wants me to write something really bad ass, but i just cant quite grasp the genre, I keep wanting to give the protags backstories and nostalgic relationships with drunken masters, shit like that. You should check his stuff out, at the least he'd make you a far more killer pin up than I ever could, I bet he'd totally click with your short stories:
this is his dev site ^^

Hmm, I do like his detail, but what does his sequential storytelling look like? I'd be very interested to see what he can do with a story. I already know he'd do a totally bad-ass pinup, but how well would he do telling, say, my short story?

Hmm... I am a "mainstream" fan, but my stories are, at heart, about relationships and interactions. I need an artist who can do gestures, faces, and humanity. And the occasional bloody murder and sword fight, but not too often. But hey, he likes Hellraiser, so he can't be all bad, can he?

Hey, can you send me yer IM and e-mail? We haven't spoken in so long I lost 'em. That way we'll be prepared should this conversation go much further.
