thehefnerDoes anyone happen to have a projector that I may be able to borrow for my new Fringe show in late August? I need a PowerPoint slide show in the performance, and I didn't realize that a new projector will cost me upwards of $500.
Of course, as I plan to keep doing this, it's an investment I'll have to make anyway. But as it seems that I may have to pay over $300 for a new passport by Wednesday, I'm rather anxious to save money wherever I can for now. I will, of course, take good care of it and take full responsibility should anything happen. I just really need to at least familiarize myself with the equipment, one way or another.
Little more than a month away from the premiere, it's long past time for me to start getting comfortable with using a PowerPoint presentation with the show. Henchgirl and I are both rather nervous, to say the least, and are looking into backup plans when the tech inevitably fails. With more ambitious shows comes more opportunities for Murphy's Law to kick in!
These next few days are gonna be the weekdays of Hell. I'm supposed to be in Hamilton, Ontario, Canadaland for the Hamilton Fringe Festival by the 15th. My passport expires on the 17th. And the passport agency doesn't have an appointment open until the 19th. I'm feeling kind of fucked, here, and downright terrified.
There are several websites that offer overnight passport service, but Henchgirl and I feel reeeeeally iffy about mailing my passport and other info off to something that's not an official government agency. So we're getting up at 6am to head down to the Passport agency and beg for help in person. If they can't help me renew by Friday, then hopefully they can tell me which of the websites I can trust to gouge me.
EDIT: Passport-wise, it looks like this will be my best bet if begging at the actual passport agency won't do any good. So hopefully all shall pan out without too much fuss soon. I should be saving up all my stress energy for Fringe itself!
