You know, looking back at my most recent entry and others before it, I come to realize that I really am a passionate geek. Sometimes I think I should calm down and give such passion-inducing things a rest to think about them and sleep on them before I go and write an entry.

That said, the fights in "Equilibrium" still rule my fucking world. And my mother agrees. *GEEEEEK*

By the way, just in case it needs to be mentioned, do not give penny one to the CATWOMAN movie. I'm already afraid of how much it's grossed as is. I'm BEGGING you people here, do not support more shit like this.

In this case your dollars are kind of a blunt instrument against Catwoman. They don't really know why you're not going, so they're just going to keep making more dreck.

Movie studio executives are surprising ignorant people. They proceed by extreme guesswork.

About the best you can hope for is that Pitof, the director, who is better known for his visual style than his ability to tell a story, never works in this town again. That would be fine with me.

There's also a slight chance that the four (!) people involved in the script are done, but they'll each just blame it on the director. Not one has written anything really good, and in fact most of them have been previously involved in dreck (T3, The Net, The Core, Interceptor).

In the end they'll probably blame it all on Bob Kane, who's safely dead.

My best advice is to not just avoid Catwoman, but to go again to Spider Man 2 or something else you really enjoyed. The second-viewing dollars count a lot. They know you'll see it once, and expect a huge opening weekend "pop", but if the thing has legs, they might let a smart director or writer take another crack.

Yes, Wednesday evening should be fine! I work until 6 in DC, then after that I usually get home at around 7ish, so maybe a 9ish show? Let me know where and when, since I am lacking a paper.

Muvico at 9:40 is the last showing that night. Will I need to get a ride there or will you be able to pick me up?
