Amid all the kick-ass things shown about in trailers and ads for SKY CAPTAIN AND THE WORLD OF TOMORROW, the press seems to have neglected one little tidbit of interesting casting news. One of the characters, Dr. Totenkopf, is a hologram.
Played by Laurence Olivier.
Dude. Not bad for a guy who's been dead for 15 years. No, apparently they're gonna be using archive footage of ol' Lord Larry ala Forrest Gump (and as was proposed with George Burns for another "Oh God!" movie that, thank Gracie, never got off the ground). But dude, seriously. Giant robots. Blimps. Dogfights. Pulp homages. Angelina Jolie in an eyepatch. And now Laurence Olivier.
Might this be the best movie ever? All it needs is David Arguette dying twice and a holographic Lee Van Cleef.
