Home again, home again...
Dec. 16th, 2004 09:15 pmjiggity jig. Ha HA... jiggity.
Exams went... well, they went, and now I'm home for the holidays. This semster, I'll be happy just as long as I maintain the 2.5 GPA (3.1's the lowest I've gotten in my three years there) for my scholarship. Should be all good.
In the next week, I have to write a quick and dirty assessment, around 15 pages is the professors' ideal, I believe, on my performance in GOOD for my thesis. After that, I plan to dedicate my every free hour (i.e., the hours I will be spending at my father's house being his bitch) to finishing my novel.
Bob Day, my advisor, read the first 110 pages (single-spaced; that's 220 pages for normal people) of my projected 150 (300) page epic. He read it in less than a week, which is very encouraging; I may be long-winded, but I know how to write a well-paced book, at least. He told me that, when polished with the few suggestions he'd made, it will be a "very interesting, if somewhat post-modern novel."
Not exactly a ringing endorsement, but coming from him that's pretty encouraging.
That, and I'm to memorize my part in THE CHERRY ORCHARD by the time we return to WAC. This will be... most interesting.
I'll be hopefully making it to Turkeymas, if all goes well. I'm gonna be bringing WITHNAIL AND I to hopefully finally show to fiveseconddelay. Mwa ha ha.
