Misc. Thoughts: Damn Dirty Hippie Edition

1.)In an almost nightly ritual, my hallway is filled with the smell of burning incense. Not just any incense either, the kind that screams, "hey, betcha can't guess what I'm thinly pretending to cover up!" Damn hippies.

2.) I've got a French II exam to fail tomorrow. God help me. I just wanna get through with a C. I can live with a D, but a C would be less humiliating. It doesn't matter, I don't need to maintain my GPA for scholarship since this is my last semester. So ha. (Oh God, I'm so stressed out... I suck at languages so much)

3.) Caffeine withdrawal sucks even more when you *just* get over it, then drink a really insanely strong energy drink that gives you a buzz for over fifteen hours before sending you into a spiraling crash. Ow. My brain feels like it wants to eat its way out of my skull.

4.) For those who don't already know, my roommate is the Saaaadest Hippie in the Whoooooooole World. He sleeps roughly seventeen hours of the day, during various hours of the day. I've had cats who sleep less than my pet hippie. I walked in today and he was on his back, his sheet draped over his entire body, like some shroud of hippie turin. At least he shaved off his dreadlocks. Yeah, imagine if *I* tried to grow dreadlocks. That's how these looked. Poor schmuck.

5.) Comin' down to see COE with Misty, Dave, and whoever else I can talk into carpoolin' with me! From there, to the cast party, and then Ma's house! Huzzah!

6.) Death Wish 3 was on AMC. And Charles Bronson has killed everybody. It's hypnotic, it really is.

Whyyyyy is there incense eeeeeeeveeeeery night? Now I'll admit, it smells better than poo, but it doesn't cover up poo, so when I walk out of my room on certain occasions, it's simply musky poo. And that's not better than just poo, my friend. Not better at all.

I'm going to make a wild guess and say it's Amanda. But then again, I don't recall incense at all last semester. Maybe it's Kate then, but I don't think she smokes, does she? Maybe she just likes the smell of musky poo, which indeed, just does smell like someone ate incense sticks the night before.

Bask, Bask I say in the hypnotic charms of Charles Bronson and all his Bronsony goodness (ya know the killin' folks and such he does soooo well) I can't see him anymore without seeing the simpsons episode where he was the replacement sheriff of Mayberry, and well killed everyone... to the Mayberry theme music. God I loved that. Is it just me or do they not make movie bad ass tough guys like him and Eastwood anymore?

Hmmm... Your right. I was about to say what about the Rock, but he often plays a more paladin-esque bad ass. I hard nice guy. Bronson and Eastwood were more... hard edged and less nice. They were almost bad good guys. Hmmm... Bruce Willis or Samuel L. Jackon in a few films maybe? Those two have even plated really hard purely bad guys.

Still... There was something about Bronson and Eastwood that seems to be lost.

In the halcyon days of Prince George's A, we had a Charles Bronson Drinking Game...with 24-7 rules. Any time we happened upon Bronson on television, we would stop everything and take a drink. We actually had a bottle of Jack that we bought for just such an emergency, and stashed it in our cable spool table. I think Death Hunt came on one night - Chris roused me from my room around 1 am, since I had been reading history and nodding off to sleep. Good times. And of course, when I heard news of Bronson's death last year, I took a long pull from my mini bottle of Jack (the one I broke out during a Blue Surge rehearsal) and offered it around. You violent, violent man - I salute you.
