And to a lesser extent, superhero comics in general. But X-Men especially.

This amuses me, even in light of Arthur Miller's passing. Danforth in Crucible is still one of my favorite roles that I played. The last of the Holy Trinity is gone.

Albee? Screw Albee, it's Eugene frickin' O'Neill, dude! I'm not sure even the best of Albee can compare to Iceman and Long Day's Journey!

In his defense, I'm not very convinced God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit were/are contemporaries, either. The burning bush was, what? 2,500 years before Pentecost?

I never said that, did I? I'm talking about quality and importance to American theatre. They all dealt with the effects of the Depression and similar themes. Albee is in another category altogether. I can't even see how he can be compared to them.

Does that make sense?

no, i said it. sorry, for some reason when I hear the words "Holy Trinity" I think of a given time...contemporaries all producing at once. I don't know why, perhaps I should investigate that association...hmmm, I'm sure it has something to do with my Christian brainwashing.
