I was honestly expecting him to drop dead of liver failure at any moment, but I never thought in a million years that he would commit suicide. He seemed so happy with his current station in life, and his recent articles gave NO HINT WHATSOEVER that this was coming. I have a feeling that he might have been diagnosed with lung cancer, and opted not to live through it.
My friend Kris Lynn pointed out that he experienced death just as he lived his life: completely on his own terms.
