One Last Time
Apr. 7th, 2005 01:11 amIn case anyone missed it the first, like, five times:
TARTUFFE! Friday and Saturday! My last college performance (not counting the scene from CLOSER that I'll be doing later).
Wait, you love this. So apparently, the professors' advice to Mike, the director, was that all of the acting from all of the actors had to be bigger, over-the-top, and melodramatic. And they meant everyone. Mike said, "Uh... you do realize..." And Dale said, "Yyyeah, I know. Maybe it's best if you don't tell him." Tonight, Mike said, "John, that was good, but you need to be even MORE melodramatic."
Dude. I've basically been given carte blanche.
To paraphrase Manute from SIN CITY- Shed a tear for the state of theatre if you must, for by now it is surely dead.
