I had heard this might be happening back around the time of the abysmal ALFIE remake, but this had me kinda excited. Now, I'm even more excited.

The SLEUTH remake is finally coming out. Starring Jude Law in the Michael Caine role and Michael Caine in the Laurence Olivier role. Directed by Kenneth Branagh.

I hate remakes, and I adore SLEUTH dearly. But this excites me greatly. As long as Harold Pinter's adaptation of Anthony Shaffer's play is good, that's my one major concern...

Still, no word on who's going to play Marguerite or Inspector Doppler. Casting ideas, folks?

Hrm, Woolly Mammoth called me up for an audition for Neil LaBute's The Distance from Here, but I can't make it because I'll be in London. Well, assuming I don't get into Catholic U and Gordon cancels our tickets.

Hmm. I wonder if we should reschedule after all? If we even can without a fee or forfeit?

But is it even worth it, I also wonder? I have to be very specific about what shows a do. The play sounds extremely depressing and ugly, and while this *is* Woolly, it might also be the kind of exposure that I wouldn't want in the longer run. Besides, this is my second audition at Woolly, indicating that they seem to be interested in me enough that this shall probably not be my last.

Bloody hell. Honestly, unless it's a real gem of a role I'm being offered, I'd just wanna do Hefner Monologues for now.

I'll wait for Gordon to get back to me and see what our tickets are set for, if maybe I can't finagle my way 'round it someone. If I even want to.

Yet another post from me today! Sorry folks.

Gary Sloan sent me the following e-mail regarding the MFA at Catholic U... )

Also, it looks like I will be able to do that Woolly Mammoth audition after all. Still not sure if the play is any *good* though. Anyone read or seen Neil LaBute's The Distance from Here?
