First off, an announcement and reminder: for those interested in seeing me in FAUSTUS, I will be playing the good doctor, Cap-Slayer, and all-around not-savvy consumer on the second weekend. Which is to say, Friday June 1st (with
777666 as Mephistopheles) and Saturday June 2nd (with Mike Galizia as Meph). The weekend before, Faustus will be played both days by the incomparable
jcsbimp.
More info available at rudemechanicals.com/faustus. I'll issue a reminder later on, rest assured.
I still wish I could have thought of a neat design for "I KILLED CAPTAIN AMERICA," though. Ah well.
And secondly: big, big thanks to
little_dinosaur,
kmousie, and
adaptor for your MUCH-appreciated help and advice for my HEFNER MONOLOGUES manuscript cover letter. I sent it into the agent yesterday, so now we play the sub-"Hungry Hungry Hippos" waiting game.
If she accepts, then we spend the even worse waiting game of at least six months until I hear anything back. Here's hopin' on both counts.
!!!
EDIT: Not three minutes after I posted this did I get an e-mail from the agency, saying they "would be happy to review THE HEFNER MONOLOGUES," and are ready for me to send it in at my convenience.
I think this calls for closing the comic store for five minutes, cranking up Oingo Boingo's "Not My Slave," and cutting loose.
