Welp, the drama season for this semester is over, and already I have having to make some choices about what roles I'm gonna shoot for next semester. Next week, Dale Diagle, chair of the drama department will be holding auditions for his version of Twelfth Night, set against the backdrop of a rock 'n roll band on tour. Toby, Andrew, and Maria are drugged-up roadies looking for a good time. Malvolio is the stuck-up manager. I don't even want to know what roles the others are taking.

Now... I love this play. And the very thought of this interpretation makes my teeth ache, I dunno about you. Yet still, I'm wondering if I should audition. I mean, at this juncture I think I could do a good Andrew or Toby, but then again I'm not sure if my acting style is best for the drugged-out type (God, the idea of a stoned Andrew and Toby bothers me). Yet I do love the script...

Another matter worth considering is that there are several shows going up next semester that I'd be interested in auditioning for. I hear I Hate Hamlet and Coppenhagen are both excellent shows (though I haven't read or seen them), and I am absolutely gonna be shooting for MacMurphy in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. I know there are several good roles in that play, but damn I'd love to tackle that one, as do a few others I know.

So... what to do, what to do... I was spoiled with a great role this semester and I'm ready for that rush again, where I come out and I know that audience is *mine*... but of course, we're now going into finals, so I probably have bigger problems right now than this. But I shall savor this little free time I have left to ponder and fret, 'cause a week from now I'll be lucky if I have time to sleep.

I've always wanted to see Copenhagen. A physicist friend of mine recommends it. Not sure what that means to anybody but me.
