Bub draw.

I'm finally gonna bite the bullet and get an iBook. Gordon's offering to buy me a new laptop, and enough people have been telling me to get a Mac for so long that fuck it, I'm doing it. The clincher was somewhere between the durability, virus-proof-ness, and the music software that I use to compose my original Johnny Go songs.

Any suggestions for whatever specific iBook I should be looking for would be greatly appreciated.

Today I finished the script for the first issue of The Adventures of Bub the Zombie and Johnny Go. I still have yet to find an artist, so I may end up trying to draw it myself. As I haven't seriously drawn anything in the past five or so years, this shall prove verrrry interesting.

Times like this I wish I had a digital camera so I can get several of my friends to pose for the art. I can't really draw from imagination, but I think I can do well enough if I copy from life. Which means if I can't find a camera, I'll go through my DVD collection with a pause button and draw based on those poses.

Ooh, um... could you bring it by for tomorrow's rehearsal? And hey, if you have the time, could you also help take some shots? I'm storyboarding it out now so I'll have a rough idea what poses and angles I'll need, so another set of hands, particularly one who "gets" what I'm going for, would be much appreciated!

Rudes artistic collaborators, [livejournal.com profile] artcfreak6(King John and Merry Wives set) and [livejournal.com profile] gallen_storm (Eldridge's spear in Macbeth) were/are art majors who, if they can't help you, can probably hook you up with somebody who can.

I call inking privalages. If i was still unemployed, i'd say send me a detail script of what you want and i'd take full art responsibilities. But inking is MINE!

When... if... I get my act together and get some pencils done, I'll send you a couple pages. I want to see what you can do sequential art-wise, which I haven't yet. As a result, you know I love ya, but this here's mah baby, knowhumsayin?

I know my brother totally loves his iBook - he says it's the best computer he's ever used and bought it used off of ebay for about $300. Good luck with the drawing. Do you have any of those "How to Draw..." books for comic book characters or people? They're supposed to be really helpful.

Anywho...to be completely off-topic - I found a version of "Mack the Knife" on MusicMatch yesterday. It's the Michael Buble version (which sounds remarkably like the Bobby Darin version) and it's really good. So thanks for the recommendations :)

Actually, you're not so off-topic as you suspect. Last night I *finally* managed to remember to give a couple Mack Mixes to some of the people I promised them to! Yeah, the Buble version's on there too.
