I'm getting the sneaking suspicion that I might not have company tonight after all. If it turns out to be the case, I think my back-up plan will be to go see HOSTEL alone. Not because I'm pathetic, but I'm not entirely certain who I could take to see a film that critics are calling a brilliant and very well-done Takeshi Miike-style film.

Yeah, I actually tried getting in touch with you but failed. I ended up not seeing it after all; I'd forgotten how psycho theatres are on Friday nights. Perhaps we can see it sometime?

I jsut got back from seeing it. I was not all that impressed.

I was somewhat disapointed by this years other promising-looking horror film, HIGH TENSION. I'm still curious to see this one, though. Good horror of this kind is so hard to do right (and really, if you haven't seen Takeshi Miike's AUDITION, you really oughta if you can find it).
