Two Frivolous-But-Cool Things and One Serious Cause

IN NEED OF RECOMMENDATIONS REGARDING DIGITAL RECORDING SOFTWARE AND STUFF
-Say, anyone know a good and cheap (free, preferably) software for the recording of things to convert them to mp3 format? And for that matter, a good and cheap/free karaoke software? I need to record samples of my singing to send to some people. Ultimately, I'd also like to record Johnny Go and Bub songs and readings of Hefner Monologues, but the song samples are the immediate goal. I need help recording my singing for digital format. And I need help finding things to record. So yes, if anyone can help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

ATTENTION ARTISTS!
-Who here with great artistic abilities would be willing to provide a drawing of Bub and Johnny Go? I'd like to have something to present to the master, George Romero himself, when I ask for his blessing to use Bub. The more drawings (and it goes without saying, from great artists) the better! I'd like the freedom to plot and plan these comics without fear of being sued, y'know? I'm totally serious about doing these stories, so if any of you talented people would be willing to help, I'd very, very much appreciate that too.

Unfortunately I'm only familiar with the distinctly non-cheap software we use for Prometheus stuff. I'd do some googling and see what you can find....

Well, my artist abilities are hardly "great", but I'd be willing to give it a go. I can find pictures of Bub fairly easily, but a description or some drawings of Johnny Go would give me a better sense of how the character is supposed to look, if you don't mind. :) Just, ah don't expect too much. I'll give it my best shot though!

Johnny is basically how he looks in this icon; that is to say, basically me in a black tux with a pompadour hairstyle. It would not be out of place for him to be holding a martini, a cigarette, and/or a microphone.

They travel the post-zombie-apocalyptic American wasteland in a beat-up and rusted 1957 Chevy Belair, to give you a visual.

Please tell me that there would be a story arc involving a visit to a desolate Las Vegas. That would be creepy/cool.

Anyway, I shall start sketching, and hopefully I can come-up with something half-way presentable over the weekend!

Well that's the thing, Johnny is obsessed with reaching Vegas. He's absolutely convinced that if they can just make it, his old buddies Sammy, Dino, and Frank will welcome him with open arms and they'll be set for the rest of their lives. That's the goal of Johnny and Bub's journey, but they keep getting thrown off course during their many adventures.

I still haven't decided what they'll find when they finally do reach Vegas. Will it indeed be desolate like so many believe? Is it still up and operating? Who's living (or not living) there? I don't know yet.

This would probably be the final Bub/Johnny story and their last stand. Their "Dark Tower" if you will. I hope to create a lot of awesome adventures for those two before I figure out what they're gonna find when they finally reach the promised land.

Aw, man that sounds (and I know I've been overusing this word a lot lately but I really mean it this time) awesome. Here's hoping you get the go ahead from Romero and I get to read lot's of crazy adventures about those two.
