So I had to plunk down $312 to pay to replace my first two tires and get the alignment done. That's bad.

But Dad just told me that my tax refund came back. I'm getting about $925.00. That's good!

Now it turns out that my back two tires are beginning to show signs of tire rot, so they need to be changed too, and Dad's not helping me. That's bad.

It'll not only pay for the tires, but also help pay Stacy, my comic artist, for THE ADVENTURES OF BUB AND JOHNNY GO, the script of which I am almost completely finished. That's good!

I went to the eye doctor today to find out what's going on with these damn spots I've been seeing in my left eye all week, and now after coming to her conclusions she wants me to see a specialist as soon as possible. So right now I'm sitting here, pupils dilated, wearing plastic shades that make me look like a mix between Booster Gold and Francis Dollarhyde from MANHUNTER. That's bad.

But once I finish the comic script, I'll get to work editing down the Tammy story to something short and concise enough to submit to magazines! New Yorker and Atlantic Monthly, mayhaps! That's good!

The New Yorker and Atlantic Monthly are also cursed. That's bad.

Spots? Drop me email. Alas, I have far too much experience in the eye-problem arena.

You have a comic?! Whee! When do we get to see it?

*hugs* About those spots - best to get it checked out ASAP. Are they black, like negative space, or flashes of light?

Yep, I do indeed have a comic! You get to see it whenabouts it's done, which will probably be several months from now, maybe a year. The script is pretty much finished, and I'll send it off to my artist and we'll work on it together for as long as it takes. I will of course post previews up here. I want to get at least ten pages done for mid-May so I can show them to George Romero at an upcoming horror convention. Because, you see, I'm using a character from one of his movies and I need his blessing, otherwise we'll change the character's name and keep him as a thinly-veiled homage. And then, hopefully, I'll be able to get the Xeric grant *fingers crossed*

The spots are... well, just like specs on my lens. No flashes of light or anything. Just like something on the windshield. Don't worry, we're underway trying to figure it out.

Spots in the eye are bad. Dorky shades are good. ;)

Seriously, what kinds of spots are they? Solid, like floaters? Or do you see things "broken", in pieces, with things missing?

Just like spots on the lens that follow my eye around everywhere, like something fixed on the windshield. The same spots too. Don't worry, my doctor is on it.

*hugs* I hope you don't have ulcerated cornea, and that the goods start outweighing the bads.
