rrargh! Angry comic fanboy!
May. 25th, 2006 11:57 pmIt's quite remarkable how one bad comic can ruin my entire day. Seriously, something really awesome had totally better happen. Because I'm not sure anything can take the metaphorical awful taste of the latest issue of BATMAN out of my metaphorical mouth.
The fucking hacks had such a brilliant, wonderful, novel concept, and utterly pissed it away in the most asinine, utterly predicitble way that everyone could see coming since part 1, but I'd hoped, *hoped* that maybe this time they'd be smart enough NOT to go that route and try something new and different! But no. And I know that the status quo must be maintained, but for God's sake, you could have gone with it like this for a *little* while!
Fuckers. I almost don't want to be working at the store today, just so I don't have to be in the proximity of this craptastic story.
Something seriously awesome had better happen today.
I'm talking full-on me standing in sort of sun-god robes on a pyramid, with a thousand naked women screaming and throwing little pickles at me.
I'm not giving up on you, Harvey.

Re: He HAS A LEGO. Really.
Date: 2006-05-27 05:17 am (UTC)Oh god, I totally bought that Hal plushie too! I have it somewhere...
JMS did some brilliant Spider-Man stuff (the Aunt May confession issue may be one of the finest Spidey stories ever), but the Norman-fucking-Gwen thing... I still haven't forgiven him for that.

Nyssa: because Talia was too butch.
