So according to chud.com, it has been confirmed that Heath Ledger will indeed be playing the Joker in BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT.

I frown, but will withhold full judgement for now. Let's see where Nolan's going with this.

I ain't happy. But let's just see. Not much else we can do.

WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYY?

Why?

WHY?!

Mark my words, friend. This will go down in history as one of the Unwisest Casting Choices since...since...so many choices to put here!

Ack!

Nolan's no idiot, though. If he cast Heath from everyone else out there, he must have his reasons. So we will see. We will see.

It's not like he could top Schwarzenegger as Mistah Fweez.

Well, um, I guess I'll wait and see? That's very strange casting, but then, who would have thought Luke Skywalker could do the ultimate Joker, right?

It is a rather bizarre bit of news, though.

Just remember...

..."Superman Returns" did not totally suck a dead dog's hairy dick. There may be some hope.

BATMAN BEGINS was astounding. Really, aside from the Batmobile chase and Katie Holmes (who should have been Harvey Dent), it was pretty well perfect for me.

So I wait to see where Nolan is going with this.

Ever watch Independence Day and wonder if Katie Holmes will play all of Elizabeth Perkins' roles in remakes (of ANY of her films, including About Last Night...)?
Is that just me?

As I haven't seen ID4 in many many years, I haven't the faintest what you're talking about, really. So by default, yeah, that might just be you ;)

If you DO, feel free to giggle at the CGI...I swear to Grodd, Castle Wolfenstein had smoother graphics. On Windows 3.1.

D'oh! How could I forget her in Like Father, Like Son with Kirk Franklin Cameron?

He's definitely not my first choice, but like you I'll give him a shot. There have been worse suggestions, Hugo Weaving?..it..it boggles the mind. He's good as characters that over enunciate. Though I haven't seen V for Vendetta I imagine his voice goes well with V's speech pattern, but Joker he is not he doesn't look or sound the part. Hell Paul Reubens would be a better pick (that playhouse could easily be turned into creepy ass nightmare)

Crispin Glover, of course, was also a horrendous idea. So yeah, it could ALWAYS be worse.
