I return! *collapses*
Oct. 10th, 2006 03:56 amOk, so if anyone's interested, I'll be performing a brand new Hefner Monologue at Speakeasy Open Mic tonight (Tuesday) night. This will be verrrrry interesting; I've never tried it out before, not even really in prose, so who the hell knows how it'll go. Hopefully the audience will be as fucking awesome tomorrow as it was last night.
Also, parking in DC will prove interesting as always.
Oh, hey, I'm back, by the way. Hi. *waves*
Coming soon- Adventures in Chicago with Sexay American Girlfriend! Stacy Keach in KING LEAR! Why the Field Museum made me sad! And tacos, tacos, tacos!
Random stuff:
-Once someone makes a screencap of David Bowie, Klaus Nomi, and Iggy Pop together on last night's Venture Brothers, I am SO making an icon of that. Holy crap.
-I really need to the Ren Fest before it's too late. Really, really do.
-I just fucking did a pantomime where I played a woman in her late 30's whose biological clock goes off. I played it seriously, based some combination of
rosinslady and
tazira, all powered on five hours of sleep followed by eight hours of driving. I think the miracle is less that I actually managed to perform it and more that the class and Kate especially (!!!) really seemed impressed. Maybe I really should make a career of playing Val.

Date: 2006-10-11 04:39 am (UTC)The episode is brilliant, although it follows so heavily on the development of previous episodes that I'm not sure how funny you'll find it.
It really is a brilliant show. I'd be more than happy to point you toward some of the gems of the first season (rather than risk you watching one lame episode and getting turned off the whole thing!) on youtube or the like. But trust me, it gets better the more you watch it. You know how some shows are like that?
