Oh hell, applications have already begun for the Capital Fringe Festival! This could be the perfect chance to finally do the Hefner Monologues! Shit, ok, gonna start that application tonight after auditions.

But what Hefner Monologue should I do? An extended version of My Grandfather's Last Words? A shorter version of the Tammy story? Short bits like the Drunk in Bath story, the Day in Traffic Court story, and the Hugh Hefner connection?

I shall ponder on't as I go shopping for baby powder, wigs, and lipstick.

Totally go with Grandfather's Last Words...that one really is universal, I think, and has a fantastic punch line. Could I be biased because I've just lost a grandparent and I love baseball? Sure! What's wrong with that?

I agree with the Kever here--this one is probably most accessible for an audience and it's a good mix of funny and sweet. Gotta love that last line...
