J.K. Simmons was just on THE SIMPSONS tonight, voicing a fast-talking, grouchy tabloid publisher. Obviously, it's meant to be him as J. Jonah Jameson again, but for some reason, the editor looks nothing like JJJ, even though the character is exactly the same as when he appeared before:

God, that's now one of my favorite SIMPSONS moments ever. I would have been endlessly happy had they made JJJ a recurring character, but they changed it around. I wonder if someone at Marvel complained and forced them to change it? Can I blame Joey Q for this affrontery as well?

Ah well. At least SIMPSONS is actually getting better. It sure ain't what it was ten years ago, but at least it's not what it was five years ago.

I doubt that they had them change the character that soon; wasn't the other Simmons appearance earlier this season? It's possible that since they had already had him play Jameson in the previous episode, they wanted to switch it up for the tabloid editor and oh, I don't know. I just spent two hours in the car. Brain goo.

Even though he was playing it the exact same way? A character who's an editor of some sort?

And besides, how many jobs has Gil had?
