thehefnerMom has a sore throat. I've been sucking down tons of vitamin C, zinc, and echinacea to prevent catching it. Getting a sore throat before doing the Hefner Monologues is a level of Hefnerianism that I do not want, thank you very much. Not even Richards could be so malicious. ... Could he?
I'm still trying to figure out what shows I wanna see. I'm easily gonna spent over fifty bucks in tickets, I can promise that.
I regret to say that, between work on Saturday and Hefner Monologues performances on the 22, 25, and 29, I'll be missing BEN JOHNSON'S VOLPONE. Poop monkey.
My current picks for the shows I can make are CHOCOLATE JESUS and FAGGOT (both by the awesome folks at SpeakeasyDC), as well as Eddie Lounge (who looks like great fodder for Johnny Go), OTHER PLANS (got my ticket for Monday!), and a couple other one-person shows at my venue, CORDELIA'S FOOL and COLLATERALLY DAMAGED (I can see them one after the other, right after my Friday performance! Six hours of three one-person shows, wooo!).
I'm still pondering other possibilities. So... much... theatre.
