WANT.

Even if I already have season 1 on DVD... WANT WANT WANT.
Question: who here owns the TWIN PEAKS SEASON 1 DVD? I want to point you towards an absolutely brilliant easter egg of sorts featuring none other than Don "Major Briggs/Major General George Hammond/Major er I mean Captain William Scully" Davis in a rare moment of tender vulnerability.
In searching for TWIN PEAKS icons for this post, I came upon this one, which is absolutely brilliant and so completely, utterly, horribly tasteless that I don't have the guts to add it to my icons.

Wow. I have no words. *evil guilty grin*
Which reminds me, I really do need to make a "What About Bob?" icon, if you know what I mean.
In commemoration of this glorious news, this finally gives me an excuse to post something for which I'd been searching for ages... Kyle Maclachlan in the TWIN PEAKS SNL sketch:
God, that's fantastic. As is this:
If you've never seen TWIN PEAKS... well, the Lego version makes about as much sense, and I say that as a compliment.
Maybe when I'm up in Seattle early next year, filming THE HEFNER MONOLOGUES, I might make a road trip up to North Bend, WA, to visit Twede's Cafe and get a slice of the genuine damn good cherry pie.

Date: 2007-08-20 07:26 pm (UTC)Do you know about the "postcards" on the special features disc?
Okay, here's what you do. Go to the last disc, the special features disc. Go to the "Tibet" section, where you can see the entire cast of characters, and how they relate to Laura Palmer. Find Major Garland Briggs' (Don Davis) section.
On the left hands side, I believe, you should be able to watch his "postcard." Most of the character pages have this video option, where you can watch a recent video interview with them filmed specially for the DVD, a "where are they now" kind of thing where they share anecdotes and whatnot. It should have a P symbol.
So yes. Watch that one on Don Davis' page. Also, watch Russ "Dr. Jackoby" Tamblyn's, which features him with his daughter Amber, mere months before she became a notable actress in her own right with JOAN OF ARCADIA. But it's Don Davis' one especially that is one of my favorite small little treasures of my entire DVD collection, something that NO ONE else knows about (based on my failed searches on youtube and google).
Let me know what you think.
