My friend Boothe has a theory about the upcoming action film SHOOT 'EM UP.

Apparently, Clive Owen's invincible badass character has a fondness for carrots. And supposedly, in one scene in a trailer somewhere, Paul Giamatti calls him a "wacally wabbit."

Boothe's theory... is that SHOOT 'EM UP is essentially a John Woo Bugs Bunny movie.

I therefore demand there to be a scene with Clive Owen in drag, trying to seduce Paul Giamatti.

of course it's a Bugs Bunny movie. Look at the physics they are using. We can't wait to see it.

I was expecting just a good kickass fun John-Woo-by-way-of-PLANET-TERROR grand old time. But that new aspect just tickles me to pieces.

As does the image of Paul Giamatti singing, "Kill da wabbit, kill da WAbbit, KILL DA WABBIT!"

Glen Hansard did a cover of 'Cactus'? Really?

John Woo Merrie Melody? Fantastic!

Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he dressed up like a girl?

No.

No, of course not!

Hey Boy-o got a favor to ask ya, you going to Comicon this weekend? Wantcha to pick me up something if ya can.

Whatchoo need, pally? I'll be there Saturday.

Glen and Marketa performed "Cactus" live at the 9:30 club, the whole broadcast of which can be heard here:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=12100950

It can also be downloaded as a free podcast from NPR's "All Songs Considered." It was an awesome, awesome concert. I very much recommend a listen, especially for the little surprises. Particularly the one they insert in the middle of "Star, Star."

Oi! Sweet, I need an animation cel, any cel mind you, from the series Cowboy Bebop by Shinichiro Watanabe. Only if you can get it for 25$ or less though. Lemme know if you find anything.

As for the Glen and Marketa sadly me computer at work has been raped by the soundcard Nazis. So I shall not beable to until tomorrow...on the slow mobile at home, I will chekc it out that is one of my favorite Black Francis songs ever!

I am so glad I am not the only one who has been thinking that, ever since I saw a commercial with the wabbit line (which always cracks me up). Oh, if only my talents at drawing real life people weren't so non-existent!

I mean, it's like someone has crafted this movie just to please me. Bad ass, over the top fights? Clive Owen? Monica Bellucci? Paul Giamatti? Clive Owen? I can't wait to see it.

Also, if heard that there's a sex scene with Owen and Bellucci's characters that's supposed to be quite something. What that something is I don't know, since I never got around to clicking on that particular link, but give me a sec and I'll look it up.

...sex scene...that's supposed to be quite something.

From what I've heard, it could be the one in which they're having sex, yet he's still killing people in a gun fight.

I wanted to impersonate Elmer's inflection of "spear," but how the heck do you spell that? "Spe-wer?" "Spewah?"

Man, this is too good. I can't wait for the scene in which Clive ties the end of Paul's double-barreled shotgun in a bow and gives him a big wet kiss on the lips...

in slow motion...

with doves.

LOL

Meanwhile, Paul/Elmer struggles to shoot his double-barreled shotgun sideways, "to wook cool."
