On THE DAILY SHOW tonight, Jon was talking about the recent Democratic debate where three of the other candidates (but not Obama; John Edwards, Joe BIden, and Chris Dodd) AND Tim Russert were all aggressively grilling Hillary, and Jon Stewart quipped:

"Four men berating a woman for two hours. It's like the most boring Neil LaBute play ever."

A smattering of people laughed and applauded. Stewart smirked, "Look at that, a couple drama majors in the corner. Everybody else can give a shit."

A. Stounding. Hee hee hee hee hee!

Meanwhile, the SOUTH PARK guys have gone totally, delightfully mad. I cannot wait for the DVD of the "Imaginationland" to freeze-frame the shots and spot all the hidden characters. They even had Darkseid in the finale!

Welp, Halloween is over. So you all know what that makes today?

There was something so right about the Flash running away in panic at the same time Diana sits on the council right next to Jesus. XD

Did that happen? I missed it! These episodes really do warrant rewatching.

I think seeing Darkseid there was my personal biggest thrill. Most of the other comic book references could be attributed to TV and movies (Wonder Woman's Lynda Carter show, the Heath Ledger Joker was already there, etc), but even with the animated DC shows, Darkseid is hardly in the mainstream public consciousness.

I mean, until such time as I unveil my grand Jack Kirby musical, CRACKLES!

The Flash (Wally if I remember the costume correctly) is in the group just before the terrorist onslaught; when they bust the gates to the evil side he's still in the group, running away (in a silly fashion.)

The Stargate references also make my fandomy funnybone so tickled. XD

And that's why I love Jon Stewart.

You know, honestly? I didn't get the Day of The Dead thing at first. *is a bad Mexican*

Oh, and look! A music video from an era when MTV actually *gasp* played videos! Even MTV2 plays reruns of Flavor of Love now. :\

I agree, a DVD of Imaginationland needs to happen soon. Bringing the ManBearPig to life was a stroke of genius.
