New costume idea: Harvey Dent as a member of the Blue and Red Lantern Corps.

Think about it: a ring on each hand, with a split costume, but not evenly split down the middle. Rather, both sides are fighting back and forth for supremacy, with mini red and blue glow sticks strategically inserted in the schisms, hinting at the literal internal battle for his heart. (No mask, though; I mean, gee, I wonder who he could possibly be under that?)

If I were able to do Comic Con this year (and thus not touring the Fringe circuit at the time), I'd so be all over this glorious waste of time and money. This would be the year to do it too. Corps' t-shirts were selling like crazy at New York Comic Con, so GL-related stuff is totally hip right now.

Maybe I'll consider it for next year, assuming that THE BLACKEST NIGHT doesn't do for the various Corps what SECRET INVASION did for Skrulls.

If nothing else, I need fanart of this, pronto.

I would do Green and Red. I think Green is maybe more fitting for the non-scarred half. I wouldn't think Harvey's ever been granola enough for blue XD

Ahh, but I disagree! Green means willpower, and isn't that pretty much exactly what poor Harvey lacks? He has the coin expressly because he's given up pretty much all willpower!

But hope... bear in mind, he was once the hope of Gotham. The White Knight of THE DARK KNIGHT, and in the comics, he was one of the few crusaders working for a better Gotham. And no matter how far he falls as Two-Face, he still struggles against his dark side because he (and, more often, Batman) has the hope that he will someday succeed. So he's in a constant internal battle, hoping to overcome his anger!

So no, I think it works!

See, when I think of what you described, I think of Green. <3 Heh. Am biased.

Granted my only exposure to blue has been in the last two or three issues (did it even exist before that)? I don't see Harvey as ever having been that... unconcerned and uninvolved in things. In other words, I don't think he was ever a pacifist. ;) Or a gigantic elephant.

Nope, Jim Gordon would be the Green Lantern out of this equation. It's already been confirmed that Batman would be a Sinestro Corps member, as the ring already tried to select him.

Well, pre-scarring Harvey hadn't broken off into two separate sides, so a lot of that drive was back when he had a unified personality that was slowly cracking apart. That Harvey could have been Green. But as Two-Face, Harvey's good side wants to be a pacifist, he wants to just stay in Arkham and get better, but the bad side won't let him!

Do you really think the Guardians would go for that, though? Saint Walker, totally! In fact, aren't the Blue Lanterns also about healing?

But how does willpower work? If you only exhibit it occasionally while living most of your life in complete and utter surrender of willpower, does that still qualify for a ring?

Because remember, as Two-Face, each side of Harvey is now incomplete. He's like a stick that was snapped in two, each piece now held together by a string, which is the coin, natch. I'm not sure how much willpower he could really have until the rift was closed a bit. Until then, all he seems to have is hope that it will. And after all, "I believe in Harvey Dent" and all that.

This is one of those "I can't believe we're actually discussing this" geek moments that I love, btw.

It happens briefly, and it was done in that period juuuuust before SINESTRO CORPS came out that the Corps members were wearing classic Sinestro blue and black colors.

The ring finds Batman, he rejects it, looks rather worried, and goes, "Uh, what the crap was that...?" Not in so many words, but basically that.
