Sheesh... Between you and another person on my f-list who linked to a video about domestic abuse, LJ is not a cheery place this morning. I know, I know, it doesn't always HAVE to be all rainbows, munchkins and lolcats...
(Doesn't help that I have the Cold From Hell since yesterday, thanks to our lovely Montreal weather. Please tell me you didn't get it too?)
If that is the result of me posting this, then I am seriously repentant. Because UP is brilliant, one of Pixar's very finest. I assure you, you will laugh far more than you will cry, and you will leave the theatre feeling warm and fuzzy inside.
Just know that it's one of the most joyous and--pardon the pun--uplifting films about loss I've ever seen. It may well be the finest film about those themes I can recall. It's the film I know I will want to see after I lose a loved one, as I can think of no other film that could be quite so helpful toward healing.
