I've been invited to participate in a panel discussion at Theatre J (at 16th and Q in DC) this Sunday, immediately following the matinee performance of THE FOUR OF US by Itamar Moses. The panel itself is called "WRITE WHAT YOU KNOW: The Pros and Pitfalls of Putting Real Life Out There."

I'm not really sure what the play's about or how it entails to the discussion, nor am I really certain what I'll be talking about, but this should be a fascinating opportunity nonetheless! I believe I owe a big shout-out to the great Stephen Spotswood for making this happen!

If only I had confirmation about DC Fringe, I could give some advance shout-out for THE ROAD TO NOWHERE. But either way, this is pretty damn cool. Now I just need to figure out what to wear. I feel like I should be sporting a tweed coat with those suede elbow dealies.

If you can, see the show beforehand. I saw it a couple weekends ago, and it's really good. My buddy Karl Miller is fantastic.

That's the plan! I was told I'd be given tickets for the show. Here's hoping!

Any clue as to what it has to do with the topic of the discussion?

I do, actually. However, if I tell you it'll give away the whole play, and I'm certainly not going to do that. It'll make a lot more sense once you see the show.

Also - do you want to come and see Sweeney Todd with me at some point?

Gotcha. Hopefully I'll be able to think of enough discussion material without having the luxury of at least a day's thought digestion.

I do! But bear in mind, I'll be out of town from the 12th of February until the end of March. I hope that means I'm not missing it entirely!

It's running February 9 through April 4. We can get you in at the very end of the run!

Awesome! Wish I could be there -- saw the play this weekend. Karl Miller, as always, excellent.

Don't you dare wear a tweed jacket with spiffy patches without me in the room where I can jump you. Don't you DARE!

...and a loud t-shirt under the jacket, yeah, totally.

Have fun! And film it if you can, just in case something ridiculous happens. (Not that I'm saying anything would.)

I'm trying to imagine what my most over-the-top T-shirt is. Maybe my Japanese Evil Dead shirt with Bruce holding a bloody chainsaw over his head?
