Baltimore Plotting and Planning
Nov. 23rd, 2007 05:30 pmI just got 50 posters and 300 postcard fliers for THE HEFNER MONOLOGUES in the mail today from the printer. You were right,
dryponder, they do downright awesome work. May FedEx/Kinkos forever burn in recyclable hell.
The question now becomes where in Baltimore to pass them out?
My boss said the general Fell's Point area is great,
themadhatter26 suggested a few around Johns Hopkins campus, and personally, I'm thinking about hitting up our old friends at Larry Flynt's Hustler Club to see if they'd be willing to hang a poster. Just for the... well, does that count as irony?
I think my demographic is pretty much college to... what, mid 40's? We're still feeling this out, considering that some people seem to think my show consists of "frat boy humor." It still boggles the mind.
Any other ideas, Baltimore folks?
Still no word back from the Baltimore Sun or CityPaper, but hopefuly I'll at least get calendar listings. Wonder if I should look into ads? Even if it's not too late, do I really wanna splurge for that, just for two performances in a smallish venue? Probably not. Still, I'd like to try to get attention: there'll be very little competition, as it's a dead time of season, and I'd like to take advantage of that as best as possible.
That said, the wonderful Laura Greenback is gonna be giving me a full writeup in B-More Live, so that'll hopefully help.
If you can make it out, Monday December 10th and Tuesday December 11th, please do! The venue's awesome! I'm totally psyched!
