the saga continues (edited)
Oct. 14th, 2005 12:21 pmSo as I suspected, they did in fact keep charging me during the 35 hours since my $926.00. And furthermore, I don't even know if they counted the $275.00 refund I was given. So I am still overdrawn by $115.00.
Okay. This is my mad face.
I can't go up to Shady Grove in person to raise hell, so I have to settle doing it over the phone while I'm at the comic shop. I called them up and the manager is busy, they said she would call me back. So now I wait to see if she does.
This is utter fucking bullshit. They've taken a thousand goddamn dollars from me.
EDIT: The manager said she understands and is willing to meet me half-way and refund half the $115.00. (I thought, "if you wanted to meet me halfway you'd refund $500.00"). My father is even more furious and calling his lawyer, but I sincerely doubt there's anything to be done. They fucking have me, no matter how much they've taken advantage of me.
I am shivering with anger right now.

You're young and just learning this, karmically you get slack. And in the meantime IF you go for a credit card, use it only to create a credit history outside of a bank account. It's a slippery slope once you start robbing Peter to pay Paul. I say this as someone who had over 20K in credit and cut up all his cards with CCCS debt management. Best yet, get a VISA check card type of deal. I've got one that doubles as my ATM card from Chevy Chase (and yes, it has overdraft protection just in case I write a paper check). It suits me well.

Date: 2005-10-14 06:38 pm (UTC)Thing was, this WAS a check card, which I prefer over a credit card any day. I do not think I can handle credit, at least not yet. Next bank I go to, if I get a check card I'm going to use it only in emergencies and use cash for transactions.
My mom's on her way to pay off the fee and close my account as I type this.
