A reminder:
TOMORROW NIGHT! MONDAY AND ALSO TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK!
THE HEFNER MONOLOGUES in Baltimore! Wheee!
8 pm at the Hamilton Arts Collective! Venue info and directions available here!!!
So if you missed it at CapFringe this year, now's your chance! It's revised, expanded, and all-around embettered!
In related news, I finally tracked down videos of John Leguizamo's FREAK, which isn't on DVD and is only available through expensive bootlegs on ebay.
spacechild and
slaversbane, you were right, I needed to see this. Also, big thanks to Paul for lending me the book of FREAK.
So, yeah, Leguizamo is right up there with Christopher Titus* as one of my true idols. Ever get that feeling of jealously and inadequacy overwhelmed by utter admiration and giddy awe at watching one of your heroes at their peak? Wow.
Watching this makes me want to aim higher than ever now. Heck, I'm also considering maybe actually playing loud bad techno music** in my "Drunk in Bath" story, if I can do it without ruining the flow of my storytelling.
*When oh when will NORMAN ROCKWELL IS BLEEDING be out on DVD?!?!
** I'm thinking this, from the very first CD I ever bought. Is that not the greatest track ever? Yes, I'm a monster.
